3chaにおける、Teacherの採用基準は厳しく設けています。
先生は、多国籍にわたります。一貫した基準は
- 生徒と同じ目線になって話し
- 聞き取りやすい英語で
- 忍耐強く、何度も繰り返しが出来る人
英語をはじめて学ぶ初心者の生徒が多いため、このような条件が重要であると考えています。
先生然とした一方通行の教えをするのではなく、話しやすく、ある種、生徒の憧れの人にならないと、生徒は緊張してしまい、やがて英語やスクールに対して委縮してしまうからです。
「お気に入りは、○○先生。朝から張り切っています」「“今日はどの先生かな！？”と子供に聞かれます」
といった保護者の方から声を頂くこともあります。
そういった、「先生が好き」という気持ちが、やがて「スクールが好き」「英語が好き」に繋がっていきます。

I want the kids to speak English as much as possible in the classroom. I always try to ask them, “how would you say that in English?” when they want to say anything interesting in Japanese. I want to encourage them to express their thoughts in English.

I believe that students of all ages should enjoy learning English. Currently, it might be challenging to learn grammar or reading complihention,but these skills will defenately be helpful in the future. I want my students to feel the joy of discovering new things. My secret dream is to help students become people who give speeche s in English.

I try to keep in mind that English is completely different than Japanese in its structure and vocabulary. I try to make sure I use body language to effectively communicate with the kids, and check to make sure they know the meaning of individual words and phrases.

English is a notoriously difficult language for those learning as a second language, especially when the first language is Eastern. However, it is also a language that is one of the most widely used, and one that can open many doors for future oppurtunities. I try to have students understand this, and have them enjoy learning as much as possible.
